Thank you for picking up Desert Knight News, you may wonder why anyone would start a new publication when newspapers and magazines are falling to the wayside. While I have watched mainstream publications including mainstream LGBT ones close, niche publications have continued and even thrived. As a business owner I know that the Bear, Leather and Fetish communities have continued to grow despite the lack of a publication that focuses on their communities. Enter, Desert Knight News, which will take you where others won’t. So what does that mean? Desert Knight News is for those who seek news, fiction, club/bar information, and cutting edge product information that caters to their lifestyle, but also to those who wish to experiment in these constantly evolving communities. Our tagline, “We will take you where others won’t,” also signals that this publication is not afraid to be politically incorrect. We are not afraid to use the word “cock” or to discuss our sexual nature and fantasies. Quite frankly I miss the days when gay publications weren’t trying to be so vanilla. Don’t get me wrong, there are some wonderful LGBT mainstream publications here, but there is a need for a true alternative. A publication that allows you to explore, and validates your way of life.
